Refund and Cancellation Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how subscriptions, cancellations, and refunds are handled at Clenow Research.

1. Subscription Terms

Clenow Research offers subscription-based access to our market analytics and research tools. Subscriptions are available on monthly and yearly billing cycles.

2. Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period for new subscribers. During the trial:

  • You will have full access to the subscribed tier's features
  • You will not be charged until the trial period ends
  • You may cancel at any time during the trial without being charged

3. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting our support team. When you cancel:

  • Access continues: You will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period
  • No future charges: Your payment method will not be charged for future billing periods
  • No partial refunds: We do not provide prorated refunds for unused time in the current billing period

How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription by:

  1. Logging into your account
  2. Going to your subscription settings
  3. Clicking "Cancel Subscription"

4. Refund Policy

4.1 General Policy

Due to the nature of digital subscription services providing immediate access to content and tools, we generally do not offer refunds for subscription payments.

4.2 Exceptions

We may consider refund requests in the following circumstances:

  • Technical issues: If you were unable to access the service due to technical problems on our end for a significant portion of your billing period
  • Duplicate charges: If you were charged multiple times in error
  • Unauthorized charges: If a charge was made without your authorization (please also contact your bank/payment provider)
  • First-time subscribers: If you are a first-time subscriber and request a refund within 7 days of your initial purchase, we may grant a one-time courtesy refund at our discretion

4.3 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us at support@clenow-research.com with:

  • Your account email address
  • The date of the charge in question
  • The reason for your refund request

We will review your request and respond within 5 business days.

4.4 Refund Processing

If a refund is approved:

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
  • Stripe payments: Refunds typically appear within 5-10 business days
  • PayPal payments: Refunds typically appear within 3-5 business days
  • Your access to paid features will be revoked upon refund processing

5. Plan Changes

5.1 Upgrading

If you upgrade to a higher-tier plan:

  • You will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your billing period
  • Your new plan features will be available immediately

5.2 Downgrading

If you downgrade to a lower-tier plan:

  • The change will take effect at the start of your next billing period
  • You will retain access to your current plan's features until then

6. Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. If we do:

  • We will notify you at least 30 days before the new price takes effect
  • The new price will apply at the start of your next billing period after the notice period
  • You may cancel before the new price takes effect to avoid being charged at the new rate

7. Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate our Terms of Service. In such cases, no refund will be provided.
